Who Are Journalists?

Many people can call themselves writers quite easily. The slightest spark of creativity, coupled with the ability to put pen to paper, can make anyone a writer. However, there’s one form that the art of writing takes on which cannot be easily mimicked without true passion. That form is Journalism. The people behind this art, those called Journalists, are passionate about what they do. They have patience to find the truth about something and the dedication to deliver it to their audiences. A true Journalist is not just someone who writes about the news. A true Journalist is someone who delivers the news with passion.

Patience is key for anyone willing to complete a task at hand. A quality which is entirely necessary whether attempting, in a desperate manner, to paint a jumpy dogs nails or to wait for specific facts about a specific event. To truly obtain patience for something, you must have the hunger for completing the objective. When it comes to finding out the pure, unadulterated truth about a situation, a Journalist with a hunger for the truth is usually the one to do the job right. However, patience is definitely not the only thing needed.

Coupled with patience is dedication, as it is with most situations. To have the dedication and the patience to not only wait for days, weeks, even months or years, for information is definitely difficult. Add to that the time it could take the actually put together the information and deliver it to your audience? Anyone could easily lose their own mind performing such a painstaking task, one which requires the utmost dedication to the project.

With all of these things kept in mind, it’s certain that Journalists definitely have their plates full. Whether it’s waiting for what can seem like forever for information, or taking what can be even longer to actually write it, the process can definitely be mind-numbing. Fortunately, a Journalist is always a Journalist for the love of their work, something that makes the whole process worth the while.
