The differences between daily and weekly newspapers, while seemingly insignificant, are definitely there. The differences in content, deliverance, layout, etc. are things that can greatly affect your choice in newspaper. Most people generally tend to assume that the differences are so minute that it should not really affect your decision on which one you select to read. However, this is the opposite from the truth. After all, they are marketed differently for a reason!
Daily newspapers are seemingly straightforward. Unlike weekly newspapers, they are (quite predictably) released on a daily basis. This means that, while they are much shorter, they still include a vast amount of information. While each news story may not be as long as stories usually are, there are an abundance of them in a daily newspaper. A daily newspaper essentially covers everything that happened within a 24-hour period in a short, condensed way that makes it easy for readers to keep up with extremely current events.
Weekly newspapers are just that, newspapers released on a weekly basis. These newspapers, for obvious reasons, must cover information given over a longer period of time. While these newspapers are just as long as daily newspapers, if not longer, they also have less stories. However, the stories they do have are by far the most important and relevant stories of the week. Thus, these stories are delved into with far more detail than they were with the daily newspaper for that day.
